Paediatric Urology

In this light Prof John Lazarus the Head of the Department of Urology at UCT medical school (Groote Schuur Hospital and Red Cross Children¹s Hospital), has a particular interest and expertise in paediatric urology. He consults and provide surgical expertise in this field and is available for consultation by appointment.
Prof Lazarus has expertise in managing the following conditions:
Urine incontinence problems in children including bedwetting, urinary tract infections, paediatric hernias, hydroceles and varicoceles, hypospadias, buried penis, circumcision and revision of circumcision, vesicoureteric reflux, congenial hydronephrosis, neuropathic bladders in children with spina bifida, stone disease in children and posterior urethral valves.
Prof Lazarus has been head of Paediatric Urology at Red Cross Children¹s Hospital for more than 10 years. He has run numerous Paediatric Urology workshops nationally and internationally and is a member of several overseas organisations.
